Prayer for our Schools - 10/9/17

A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household. (Matthew 10:24-25)

O Lord, as Your disciples, many of our students face challenges in our schools that were not faced by their parents or grandparents: a disregard for the sanctity and value of life, the perversion of natural law and the Biblical teaching of marriage between a man and a woman, and attacks against the teachings and values of the Christian faith. With Your Word and Spirit, strengthen their faith to trust in Your protection and stand firm against these assaults; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
