Concordia University Chicago Wind Symphony to perform at St. James on March 11

The Concordia University Wind Symphony from Chicago, IL will perform at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 11 at 7 p.m. as part of its 2017 Spring Tour and the congregation’s celebration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. The Wind Symphony has performed in 43 states (including Carnegie Hall) and in countries around the world, including Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and China (including the cities of Shanghai and Beijing).

Under the direction of Dr. Richard Fischer, Distinguished Professor of Music and the Fred and Jane Wittlinger Endowed Chair for Music Performance, the Concordia University Wind Symphony enjoys an unparalleled reputation among smaller liberal arts institutions. This summer the Wind Symphony will tour South Africa.

There is no charge to attend this concert, but an offering will be received during the performance in support of the Wind Symphony. All from the Logansport community and beyond are welcome and encouraged to attend. St. James is located at 430 9th St. in Logansport.
